Attracted to Light, Long Exposure series, Polyamide nylon, 25.4 x 29.8 x 34.9 cm, 2005
Attracted to Light captures the erratic, instinctive movement of a moth drawn to illumination, translating this ephemeral behaviour into a fixed sculptural trace. Through digital tracking and fabrication, the work materialises a moment of attraction that is both natural and unknowable, revealing patterns beyond human perception. The work situates itself between observation and abstraction, where technology mediates and reinterprets the agency of the non-human. Attracted to Light becomes a record of desire and disorientation-an object shaped by movement, perception, and the tension between control and unpredictability.
